Is it possible to return a newly, just opened game back to a target store?

Posted March 9, 2010 – 12:51 am in: Target Store

I just bought NCAA Football 09 for Xbox 360, but all my friends have it for PS3. So I want to get a PS3 and and return my Xbox game for a PS3 version of the same game.I just opened the game and played for an hour or so when I found out all my friends got the game for PS3. I was just wondering if Target would let me bring back the game for full credit or at all?

Impact Of Retail Display And Store Design On Buying Decisions

Posted March 8, 2010 – 12:08 pm in: Target Store

A retail display is a merchandising display that attractively showcase shop inventory or featured products. An immense number of products in the retail market are competing for attention. And the offer of new brands seems to increase day by day. It’s good to know that at least 60% of purchases are decided right in the store, according to statistics provided by POPAI (Point of Purchase Association International). Take the right steps to make some profits and don’t leave conversions to chance.

Custom retail displays are clever investment to make when aiming at featuring your product and rising your margins. Creative retail display design is requisite in a successful retail store. These retail fixtures draw attention in a competitive retail store floor and can be designed to target your ideal customer base. Whether or not a customer decides to buy your item, it depends largely on the style your product is displayed.

Great store design is not only about matching colors and materials harmoniously and using elegant lighting solutions to reinforce a recognizable store branding. Deployment of the optimal display type with appropriate choices of size, shape, material and color can be the single most determining factor for driving purchase conversion.

Additionally, retail displays can be designed to optimize the amount of merchandise to be displayed on a given limited floor space. Retail space is rare and precious — make sure to get the most of each square foot.

An area of overall aesthetic store design will make people feel comfortable to stay and pay more attention compared to areas of very simple inventory presentation, where they just stop by to buy things they need from their list. This is because consumers unconsciously tend to search for environments that creates positive mood and invites them to stay.

Right choice of retail display and retail space design will help store owners to differentiate from other stores and persuade shoppers to come in, stay longer and come back. A store without smart retail display positioning and a highlighted store theme, will be automatically associated with a cheap items shop and won’t be able to drive high margin sales for brand products.

For the manufacturer the purpose of using a uniform retail display design for all stores is to strengthen the unified company message. It has an immense effect on brand recognition — even if your product range changes from time to time, the branded retail display still attracts shoppers to see what’s new on offer from your company. Custom retail display is actually the only practical way manufacturers have, to control about how their products will be perceived in many different distribution outlets.

Most of buying decisions are made at the point of sale. So the most important factors are location, store and display design which will decide whether or not your products get noticed and your efforts will secure ROI. If well designed and optimally placed in the retail space, custom retail displays show improved results on your bottom line profits. A tailored retail display for your brand is a safe investment to boost your profits in a competitive market.

The Gaza Operation – What Hamas military targets did the IDF strike?

Posted March 6, 2010 – 12:30 am in: Target Store

Consistent with the principle of distinction, IDF forces attacked military targets directly connected to Hamas and other terrorist organizations’ military activities against Israel. IDF forces targeted Hamas rocket launchers, weapons stockpiles, command and control facilities, weapons factories, explosives laboratories, training facilities and communications infrastructure, often concealed or embedded in civilian facilities such as residential buildings, schools, or mosques. In accordance with the Law of Armed Conflict, civilian facilities that served military purposes did not enjoy protection from attack. Below is an illustrative account of military targets struck by the IDF during the operation:

• Hamas’ bases, posts and headquarters:

Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and Executive Force headquarters in the northern Gaza Strip (struck on December 27th) Headquarters and weapons store of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades at Tel Zaatar, in the Jabaliya area (struck on December 27th) Hamas’ Al-Islam post in the northern Gaza Strip (struck on December 27th) Hamas’ main headquarters compound in Gaza City (struck on December 27th) Hamas post and training camp in the central Gaza Strip (struck on 27 December 27th) Hamas training camp in the southern Gaza Strip (struck on December 27th). Headquarters and weapons storage belonging to the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the Special Force (struck on December 27th). An Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades training outpost in the Al-Maqusi towers in the northern Gaza Strip (struck on December 28th). Ismail Haniyah’s office in the Hamas compound in Gaza City (struck on December 31st).

• Hamas’ armament production and storage sites:

Research and development center in the Islamic University in Gaza (struck on December 28th): Hamas used the site to develop rockets with improved launching range. Throughout the operation, the IAF attacked dozens of workshops and weapon stores, many of them located in the houses of Hamas operatives and public buildings (including mosques).

• Rocket and mortar launch sites:

Throughout the operation, the IAF attacked areas regularly used to launch rockets and mortars against Israel.

• Smuggling tunnels:

Throughout the operation, IDF attacked dozens of tunnels along the Philadelphi route used for smuggling arms, ammunition and terrorist operatives, for terrorist attacks against Israel, from Sinai to the Gaza Strip.

• Mosques used by Hamas for military purposes:

A Mosque in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City (struck on December 31st). The mosque served as an arms storage facility and a launching site for terrorist activity. The strike caused a long series of secondary explosions from armaments and ammunition that were stored in the mosque (including rockets, some of which were long-range Grad rockets). Al-Khulafa mosque in Jabaliya (struck on January 1st): The mosque was a focal point of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades’ terrorist activities. The strike on the mosque was followed by a long series of secondary explosions, indicating that a large quantity of hidden weapons and ammunition had been stockpiled in it.

It should be noted that Israeli forces have come under criticism from various international organizations for attacking a number of Hamas targets, such as various “ministries” operated by Hamas, which were alleged to be civilian in nature. Many of the ostensibly civilian elements of the Hamas regime are in reality active components of its terrorist and military efforts. The IDF made the determination that the attacks were lawful under international law. All of these strikes were carefully planned and executed in a manner that minimized the risk to civilians.
